Are you a specialist physician with expertise in psychiatry and eager to contribute to the development of psychiatric care in the region? We are currently seeking specialist physicians in psychiatry for our general psychiatric outpatient clinics in both Helsingborg and Ängelholm. There are opportunities to combine work at both clinics with flexibility in your schedule.

The Adult Psychiatry Outpatient Clinic in Ängelholm and Drottninggatan in Helsingborg both belong to the Department of Adult Psychiatry Helsingborg and are part of the Administration of Psychiatry, Rehabilitation, and Assistive Devices. Here, we primarily examine and treat patients with affective disorders, anxiety disorders, various forms of personality disorders, and neuropsychiatric conditions.

The clinics are at the forefront of development, working with standardized care pathways and team-based care. You will thus have the opportunity to work with and contribute to psychiatric care characterized by collaboration, openness, and quality. Each clinic consists of approximately 30 employees of various professional categories, including physicians, nurses, social workers, psychologists, rehabilitation coordinators, and medical secretaries.

RESPONSIBILITIES

In the role of a specialist physician, your main task is to diagnose, assess, and treat patients based on current research and established best practices. Here, you will often encounter individuals with complex and exciting care pathways requiring in-depth psychiatric assessment, where your expertise offers significant opportunities to make a difference.

As a physician with us, you will have great opportunities to develop both the clinic and the content of care together with the unit manager and other colleagues. We constantly strive to improve and develop our operations, welcoming your knowledge, ideas, and experience.

As we accept medical students from basic training, you are expected to contribute to the supervision of all levels of resident physicians. Since the operation is classified as university healthcare, we actively invest in both research and teaching, with several exciting ongoing research projects in the area.

QUALIFICATIONS

You are a licensed physician authorized to practice within the Swedish healthcare system. Additionally, you must hold specialist competence in psychiatry. Language skills in Swedish corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale are required. You must have completed or have planned a course in clinical supervision.

Since we work in teams, it is important that you communicate easily and have a good ability to collaborate and coordinate various tasks. You work within established frameworks and guidelines, keeping the patient's best interests in focus. Personal suitability and good collaborative skills are highly valued.

At a university healthcare unit, physicians are required to have pedagogical experience and education. This can be acquired through supervising, for example, nursing and medical students, as well as physicians in training, and acting as a co-supervisor or main supervisor for doctoral students. Clearly describe in your application any completed or planned pedagogical courses, experience with supervision, and teaching at various levels.
